Roll up your sleeves and get crafty with our fun Fourth of July cupcake toppers. Download our free printable and read on to learn how to make them step-by-step.

1. Gather Materials

You'll need to gather the following materials:

  • white cardstock paper (we recommend printing several copies of the template on these)
  • scissors
  • glue
  • lollipop sticks (popsicle sticks or small skewers work, too)

2. Cut out each piece in the template.

These cupcakes toppers are assembled from multiple pieces for a layered look. The first, second and third rows of the template are pieces you can pick and choose to decorate the front of the toppers. The bottom row of the template, with the larger solid-colored circles, are the back layers.

Fun tip: When cutting out the solid circle backs, try using scissors with fun edges for a decorative look.

3. Glue one end of the lollipop stick to the backside of the front piece, and let it dry.

We used rubber cement glue (just make to use it in a well-ventilated area and be sure to let it dry completely), but all-purpose glue or hot glue would work, too.

Fun tip: You don't have to stick to just one piece on top. Try layering the star pieces to mix it up!

4. Glue the back of the stick to the solid circle back piece, and let it dry.

5. Voila!

Your topper is ready to decorate a cupcake.

Repeat with the remaining pieces to assemble a variety of looks. Mix and match to your heart's content!

These toppers are an easy way to impress guests while entertaining this holiday weekend. We love festive details like red, white and blue cupcake liners or sprinkles.

Proudly display them on tiered cake pedestals that are perfect for a party. In fact, why not go the whole mile and hang a flag!
