Easter Egg Style

Looking for Easter egg ideas? Our friends at Homesessive and StyleList recently helped us to decorate Easter eggs inspired by some of our favorite spring apparel. Color block, monochrome and metallic are just some of the looks we created.

MONOGRAMMED
STYLE THE EGG
Use a wax resistant crayon or vinyl sticker to write lettering on the hard boiled egg. Dip the egg in your preferred color, or color blend. If using a vinyl sticker, remove the sticker after the egg has dried to reveal the white of the monogram. Personal and crafty!

STRIPED
STYLE THE EGG
Get a wax resistant crayon and draw concentric stripes around the egg. Dip the egg in your preferred color of dye for about 2 minutes, creating a rich hue!

THREADED
STYLE THE EGG
Mix your egg dye with water rather than vinegar to create a pastel color. Once it has dried, use your favorite colored string to wrap around the egg . Seal with a little bit of glue to hold the string in place. Voila!

METALLIC
STYLE THE EGG
Place your egg dye in water to create a pastel hue. Leave the egg in the dye for 30-60 seconds to lightly dye the egg. Once the egg has dried, take a metallic felt tip marker and gently color the egg with your preferred design. Don't press too hard, or you might break the shell!

MONOCHROME
STYLE THE EGG
For those looking to create a classic and easy easter egg, simply pick your favorite dyes, and drop the eggs in! A rainbow assortment of eggs will not only be simple to create but will look homemade and stunning.

COLOR BLOCK
STYLE THE EGG

Dip one end of your hard boiled egg into the dye for approximately 2 minutes. Air dry on an egg tray, then carefully take the egg and dip the non dyed end into your desired second color. Our favorite pairings: pink and purple, blue and green, green and yellow, and yellow and pink. Make a mistake? So did we! That's how we got the blue line in between the green and yellow!

FLORAL
STYLE THE EGG

There are so many ways to create this look; it's foolproof! Use stickers, glitter pens, or markers to create fun and easy flower designs on your eggs. You can pre dye the eggs or keep a white base like we did. Simple and pretty!
