Domino's Debuts Vegan Pizza

Christmas has come early for vegans!

The pizza chain, Dominos just launched a vegan pizza in Israel. This is a milestone for the popular brand, which has never featured a vegan-friendly pizza.

It all started when a vociferous vegan lobby launched a website called Vegan Friendly. They rallied and through this push, Domino's crafted its vegan pizza.

The pizza features soy cheese and vegetables. A family-sized pie is available for about $20.

Dominos has no plans to try out the vegan pizza elsewhere just yet. Domino's spokesman Tim McIntyre told NPR's The Salt, "we'll be paying attention to [the vegan pizza in Israel], but it's not something we're working on here in the U.S."
