Dominique Ansel Reveals His Baking Secrets

After inventing the whimsically named Magic Souffle, Chocolate Chip Cookie Shot, Ice Cream Sundae in a Can, Waffagato and Pretzel Lobster Tails, Dominique Ansel is still most widely recognized for the Cronut. His croissant-doughnut mash-up became the dessert du jour at the Dominique Ansel Bakery in Soho, New York and has garnered lines over several hours long that eager fans would wait in the wee hours of the morning to try their luck at buying the coveted dessert. In 2013, the Cronut was named one of the best inventions of the year.

Ansel patented his creation and the recipe has been shadowed in a flaky, creamy veil of secrecy ever since. Ansel released his debut cookbook, Dominique Ansel: Secret Recipes, on October 28th and it even features his Cronut recipe, which the famed baker recently revealed on Good Morning America.

Dominique Ansel joined AOL BUILD to discuss his latest cookbook. Watch the video below!
