The Yumbo was first put on Burger King's menu back in 1968, but was retired in 1974.

The Yumbo sandwich contains Black Forest ham and melted American cheese, as it did in the past. This time around, lettuce, mayo and a hoagie have been added.

According to Bloomberg, chief marketing officer for North America Eric Hirschhorn has said that customers have been asking about the Yumbo for years, prompting the chain to decide to bring the sandwich back after all this time.

The Yumbo will cost $3.69 and will be available for a limited time.

In honor of the throwback, Burger King has set its Facebook page back to 1974, and has posted many fun retro photos to celebrate the Yumbo.

Burger King is officially bringing back an item that was last available in 1975. The Yumbo Sandwich is coming back to the Burger King menu starting Dec. 2, and according to Business Insider, the chain's goal is to "bring back memories for loyal guests."
