Richard Sherman showed up to his press conference dressed like Harry Potter

Updated

Richard Sherman has always been more than just your average football player.

But the Seattle Seahawks' cornerback took his wide-ranged skills to the next level on Wednesday when he dressed up as Harry Potter and completely embodied the wizardry role for his press conference.

"When you're a wizard, like we are out here, sometimes you have to show it to the Muggles out in the world," Sherman said. "We've got a lot of wizards. My son's a wizard. Earl Thomas does some magical things. Michael Bennett is Black Santa, but he's also a wizard."

Do yourself a favor and watch:

Richard "Harry Potter" Sherman had so much fun pretending to be a wizard on Wednesday that he plans to take his son trick-or-treating for Halloween wearing the same costume.

"He's going to have a mask going, I'm going to have this on, nobody's going to have any idea," Sherman said. "This is all you gotta do – Clark Kent did it. You just gotta put the glasses on - bam, no longer Richard Sherman."

He finished by waving his wand, saying "Wingardium Leviosa" and then he promptly left the podium.
