The best photos from the week in sports: 10/7 - 10/14

Over the past few days, sports fans got to watch the beginning of the NHL season, an NFL color rush game that actually looked pretty darn good and, perhaps most exciting of all, four MLB Division Series that narrowed the postseason down to each league's final contenders.

All eyes were also on Raleigh, North Carolina, as Notre Dame and North Carolina State played football through a hurricane, and on Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz who played the final baseball game of his long and illustrious career.

Elsewhere in the world, Andy Murray added another championship to his resume as he won the China Open in Beijing, and golf fans saw stunning scenes from the 2016 Fiji International.
