Trump says Dems can't impeach him because he is 'doing a great job'

President Donald Trump has told Bloomberg News that Democrats cannot impeach him because of the simple reason that he is ‘doing a great job.’

In an White House interview with the news outlet on Thursday, Trump cited a strong economy, his performance on foreign policy and the danger of setting a precedent making it too easy to remove future presidents.

He said, "I don’t think they can impeach somebody that’s doing a great job. You look at the economy, you look at jobs, you look at foreign, what’s going on with other countries. You look at trade deals. I’m doing a great job.”

This is not the first time Trump has questioned how someone who has done a great job can be impeached. He had an exclusive interview with Fox News in which he repeated the same phrase: ‘I don’t know how you can impeach somebody that’s done a great job.’

The president also said if he were to get impeached the market would crash and ‘everybody would be very poor.’
