Michael Avenatti, Anthony Scaramucci show pitched to TV networks, but ‘no deal has been made’

A television show starring Michael Avenatti, the attorney for adult film star Stormy Daniels, and Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director, was “pitched to two cable networks in recent weeks,” The New York Times reports.

United Talent Agency’s Jay Sures has already met with both CNN and MSNBC executives to discuss the show, the Times reported, which would feature the two men duking it out in a “Crossfire” type program.

“It was pitched, but no deal has been made,” a person with knowledge of the negotiations told TheWrap, adding that the two men “respect each other.”

Reps for CNN did not respond to a request for comment, nor did Avenatti, Scaramucci and UTA. When reached, MSNBC declined to comment.

However, on Twitter, Avenatti dismissed the idea of the reported program, writing that he had “no interest in television right now.”

According to the Times, Avenatti has been pitched as “one of Mr. Trump’s greatest antagonists,” while Scaramucci has been suggested as a Trump loyalist.

Mediate reported Thursday that in the pitch to MSNBC and CNN, “it was emphasized that Avenatti likely could not start the show until after the Stormy Daniels case wrapped up.”

Scaramucci was fired 10 days into his tenure as White House communication director following a series of turbulent media appearances, which included a foul-mouthed tirade to New Yorker journalist, Ryan Lizza.

Avenatti has been a regular fixture on both CNN and MSNBC on behalf of his client, Stormy Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford. The porn star is suing the president over a non-disclosure agreement she signed before the 2016 presidential race to silence her from talking about a supposed affair with Trump.

UTA represents Scaramucci. The agency does not officially represent Avenatti.
