Hillary Clinton to join potential 2020 candidates during DNC fundraiser

Hillary Clinton will join a set of possible Democratic presidential candidates to raise money for the Democratic National Committee next month.

BuzzFeed News reports Clinton will be speaking at the DNC’s Women’s Leadership Forum in Washington alongside California Senator Kamala Harris, who is considered to be a top contender to challenge President Trump in 2020.

Other possible contenders set to speak are New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and former Missouri secretary of state Jason Kander.

This will be the second major fundraiser for the DNC this year.

The purpose of the event is to get women to vote and for the party to reach 50 million voters by the next election.

This will be Clinton’s first appearance for the DNC since her defeat against President Trump in 2016.

Many Democratic lawmakers wonder if Clinton should still be affiliated with the party since she’s still the subject of Republican attacks.

As for the DNC, The Hill reports its facing financial troubles, as the Republican National Committee raised almost double of what they did in 2017.
