Trump lashes out over border security, immigration on Twitter: ‘NO MORE DACA DEAL!’

President Trump started his Sunday morning on Twitter with a “Happy Easter” message to his followers, but about an hour later, he lashed out over a range of issues on border security and immigration.

“Border Patrol Agents are not allowed to properly do their job at the Border because of ridiculous liberal (Democrat) laws like Catch & Release. Getting more dangerous. ‘Caravans’ coming. Republicans must go to Nuclear Option to pass tough laws NOW. NO MORE DACA DEAL!” Trump wrote in one of the tweets.

He then moved on to his next target – Mexico.

“Mexico is doing very little, if not NOTHING, at stopping people from flowing into Mexico through their Southern Border, and then into the U.S. They laugh at our dumb immigration laws. They must stop the big drug and people flows, or I will stop their cash cow, NAFTA. NEED WALL!” Trump commented.

And in his third tweet, Trump wrote, “These big flows of people are all trying to take advantage of DACA. They want in on the act!”

Trump announced in September that he would be ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and asked lawmakers to come up with a legislative solution for ‘Dreamers,’ undocumented immigrants brought into the U.S. as children.

However, as the Washington Post notes, “there is no clear path for immigration legislation as [Trump] has rejected proposals from congressional Democrats.”
