GOP Jewish Coalition demands resignation of 7 Democrats over 'ties' to Farrakhan

He’s the controversial leader of the Nation of Islam, and an accused anti-semite.

Now, the Republican Jewish Coalition is calling for the resignation of seven Democratic members of Congress, alleging ‘their connection’ to Louis Farrakhan.

The lobbying group is calling for the resignations of Representatives Keith Ellison, Barbara Lee, Maxine Waters, Danny Davis, Andre Carson, Gregory Meeks, and Al Green, all who it claims have at one point met Farrakhan, although not recently.

The calls for resignation coming after a recent speech Farrakhan gave for Nation of Islam’s Saviour’s Day surfaced in which he reportedly said Jewish people quote “are my enemy.”

Following the calls for resignation, Representative Meeks has responded calling Farrakhan’s anti-semitic messages “upsetting & unacceptable” with Representative Davis condemning Farrakhan’s statements but also telling The Daily Caller he thinks he’s an “outstanding human being.”

Through a spokesman, Representative Ellison, the deputy director the DNC, telling Fox News he’s “repeatedly disavowed anti-Semitism and bigotry, since his first campaign for Congress in 2006.” Ellison is the first Muslim member of Congress.

Donald Trump, Jr also weighing in, sarcastically tweeting “I guess all the denouncing from the Dems who have met with him must be lost in the mail??? I’m sure they’ll be all over it someday.”
