White House annihilates Omarosa after 'Big Brother' comments: 'Omarosa was fired three times on The Apprentice'

The White House on Thursday took a shot at former administration official Omarosa Manigault after a reporter asked about her curious comments on an upcoming episode of the CBS show "Celebrity Big Brother."

Manigault said she was "haunted" by President Donald Trump's tweets "every single day" and said the country is "going to not be OK."

White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah said during the daily press briefing that the administration took the remarks "not very seriously."

"Omarosa was fired three times on 'The Apprentice,' and this is the fourth time we let her go," Shah told reporters. "She had limited contact with the president while here. She has no contact now."

Manigault was actually fired twice from Trump's signature NBC show.

Her comments to a fellow cast member on the CBS reality show caught attention Thursday.

"I felt like it was a call to duty," she said. "I felt like I was serving my country, not serving him. ... It was always about the country. Like, I was haunted by tweets every single day. Like what is he going to tweet next?"

Manigault said she "tried" to help keep Trump in check, only to be "attacked" by other aides.

"It was like, keep her away from him," she said. "Don't give her access. Don't let her talk to him."

"I like to say it's not my problem, but I can't say that, because it's bad," she added. "It's going to not be OK. It's not."

Manigault, who served as communications director for the Office of Public Liaison, departed the White House in December — and the exit was ugly.

Some reports said Manigault was physically removed from the White House, while others said she resigned from the position.

Soon after her exit, she told ABC's "Good Morning America" that she saw plenty of things that "upset" her while serving the president.

"There were a lot of things that I observed during the last year that I was very unhappy with, that I was very uncomfortable with," she said.
