Sean Hannity blasts 'President Clinton' after Mueller indictments

Fox News host Sean Hannity reacted to a wave of news around the Trump administration with a mistaken announcement about a new president.

The conservative presenter accidentally referred to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as “President Clinton” during his namesake show Monday night.

Hannity downplayed the recently unveiled allegations against President Trump’s former campaign chair Paul Manafort for money laundering as well as the guilty plea of adviser George Papadopolous, where he admitted to lying about his contacts with Russian officials who said they had thousands of Clinton’s emails.

The longtime Fox News personality alleged that the indictments show there is a separate justice system for “the Clintons, the left, liberals and all their cronies” and added that there is enough evidence to pursue an investigation into the State Department’s approval of Russia buying American uranium after vested interests had donated to the Clinton Foundation.

“What did President Clinton—or President Clinton wannabe,” he said, “President Obama, and key members of the administration, what did they know about the Uranium One scandal?”

The Clinton Foundation apologized for not disclosing the donations it received before the sale of the uranium interests, though the deal itself was approved by the Obama administration and had started under George W. Bush.

Hannity’s nighttime rant against the Clintons continued a day when Fox was criticized for not giving as much weight to the Mueller investigation as other, more mainstream outlets.

In the morning the hosts of “Fox and Friends” spoke about the indictments, though also discussed the more minor controversy of a cheeseburger emoji with the cheese in the wrong place.
