President Trump slams North Korea's missile launch, says 'all options are on the table'

The White House responded to North Korea's successful missile launch over Japan on Monday with a statement from President Trump noting "all options are on the table."

"The world has received North Korea’s latest message loud and clear: this regime has signaled its contempt for its neighbors, for all members of the United Nations, and for minimum standards of acceptable international behavior," the statement released on Tuesday read. "Threatening and destabilizing actions only increase the North Korean regime’s isolation in the region and among all nations of the world. All options are on the table."

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe also spoke out on the latest launch out of Kim Jong Un's hermit regime, slamming the action as an "unprecedented and grave threat" to Japan's security.

"The outrageous act of firing a missile over our country is an unprecedented, serious and grave threat and greatly damages regional peace and security,” Abe told reporters in Tokyo. After speaking with President Trump for a reported 40 minutes via phone, the pair decided to call for an emergency meeting of the UN security council on the matter.
