Rubio blasts Trump's plan to form 'cyber security unit' with Putin

Marco Rubio is not on board with President Trump's plan to partner with Russian President Vladimir Putin to form a Cyber Security Unit.

The Florida senator's reaction came after Trump tweeted, "Putin and I discussed forming an impenetrable Cyber Security Unit so that election hacking and many other negative things will be guarded."

Calling out Putin and his "oppression, war crimes & interference in our elections," Rubio expressed his concern in a series of tweets.

He wrote, "While reality & pragmatism requires that we engage Vladimir Putin, he will never be a trusted ally or a reliable constructive partner."

Partnering with Putin on a 'Cyber Security Unit' is akin to partnering with Assad on a 'Chemical Weapons Unit," Rubio continued.

Trump said on Twitter the G20 Summit was a great success for the U.S. and that he pressed Putin about Russian interference in the 2016 election, saying the Russian president "vehemently denied" it.
