Woman sues NYC bar for letting her ride a mechanical bull while drunk

Johnny Utah's boasts the "one and only mechanical bull" in New York City, but one customer claims it caused more harm than good.

DNA Info reports that Jocelyn Burmeister was at the bar in March when she was "violently thrown off the bull before having a chance to mount the device."

While patrons have to sign a waiver before riding, Burmeister is suing because employees let her attempt to ride while drunk. The suit, filed Friday to the Manhattan Supreme Court, claims that Burmeister was left with "life debilitating" injuries.

"Just like any activity, there is assumed risk involved," Johnny Utah's website says. "Our ring is completely lined in padding and offers a safe landing area. However, it is a 'ride at your own risk' attraction."
