This photo of Donald Trump and Pope Francis is making the internet go wild

On Wednesday, President Trump and his family went to Rome to meet with Pope Francis. They shared a half-hour discussion and exchanged gifts. Afterward, the Trump family and pope posed for photos.

The encounter was immortalized in many snapshots, including this one:

Reuters noted that Pope Francis remained stern while Trump "beamed" at the cameras. Observers on Twitter quickly noticed, too, and began discussing it:

Pope Francis is a known critic of the current president. The meeting was part of Trump's current international tour where he's meeting with world faith leaders.
