Update: This event has ended.

Deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is set to address the press corps on Wednesday, one day after President Trump fired FBI director James Comey.

Trump's move in removing Comey from his position as Bureau head sparked a wave of criticism and commentary on Tuesday night -- causing many to question the timing of his firing as investigations into allegations of Trump-Russia collusion heat up.

Sean Spicer reportedly hid behind bushes on the White House grounds for several minutes Tuesday evening as staffers strategized in the aftermath of the president's FBI shakeup.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders called for an end to investigations into White House-Kremlin ties on Wednesday morning, saying it's "time to move on."
