Trump reportedly may kick national security aide Sebastian Gorka out of the White House

President Trump's high-profile national security aide Sebastian Gorka may soon be transferred out of the White House.

The Daily Beast is reporting that "two senior administration officials familiar with the situation say it is exploring a new role for Gorka elsewhere in the administration."

One of the reasons suspected for the move is his lack of a security clearance.

"The last I heard he had not been cleared to sit in any sort of national security meetings, which leaves him without much to do all day," a former defense official with ties to the National Security Council told BuzzFeed News.

"It was never clear what his qualifications were for any sort of posting. But without that clearance he's not allowed to sit in the real meetings or review intelligence. I am told he basically sits in the White House canteen drinking coffee between Fox News live hits," the source added.

This problem obtaining a security clearance has reportedly dogged Gorka before, with BuzzFeed News also reporting that his failure to do so in Hungary in 2002 "effectively ended his career as a national security expert in Hungary."

An issue of concern about his background is his suspected membership in a right-wing Hungarian group with reported Nazi ties called Vitézi Rend.

Though he has previously denied membership, group leaders claim that he "took a lifelong oath of loyalty to their group," according to reports.

Despite the controversies, Gorka has maintained his role until now, despite being known for his strong, anti-Islam stance, because the president apparently likes him.

"The president really likes him and appreciates him as a good spokesperson for the administration," one official told the Daily Beast,
