Social media can't stop laughing at this pint-drinking baby

Updated

A video from 1997 has resurfaced and is now igniting social media.

The clip, from the RTÉ Archives, shows a baby taking a sip of beer with his parents. It was shot in Daly's Bar in the town of Ennistymon, Ireland.

The video was shared on Facebook on Friday with the caption, "You won't see this on TV nowadays." It now has over 700,000 views:

As it turns out, the man who posted the video -- journalist Cian McCormack -- found the famous "pint baby" and spoke to him on his show.

"Pint baby's" name is Steven Barron, and he's now 20-years-old. He says he does not mind the attention, but he'd "rather be called Steven than pint baby though."

According to Barron's mother, Caroline, this was not a usual occurrence -- and he did not have a lot of beer. "It was only a drop of Guinness, there's plenty of parents even to this day that would do it," she said. "There's no harm in it, he's turned out perfectly fine and there's no bother on him."
