Twitter goes nuts over Michelle Obama's facial reactions during Trump speech

Updated

President Donald Trump praised the Obama family and administration during his inaugural address for their "gracious" help with the transition of power, but former first lady Michelle Obama's facial reactions during the inaugural address sent Twitter users wild with speculation.

"Today Americans learned that Michelle Obama does not posses a poker face," one user tweeted in response to a stream of viral photos surfacing of Michelle attending the inauguration.

The Obamas kicked off the day as tradition dictates, welcoming the incoming family to the White House for tea on Friday morning before joining the festivities on the U.S. Capitol. As camera cut from Trump to others in the crowd, including Michelle Obama, the internet lit up with reactions.

Some identified with her implied distaste.

Others suggested she looked exasperated.

One suggested the emotions people were assuming she felt were all imaginary.

At the end of Trump's address, the Obamas shook hands with the new first family, but everyone is convinced she was miserable.
