Viral video shows employee jumping rope with dough at Jimmy John's

Sandwich chain Jimmy John's confirmed that a bizarre viral video featuring an employee at a Jacksonville, Fla. franchise is real.

A cellphone video of the original Snapchat footage, which was posted to Facebook Monday, shows a man jumping rope with fresh dough.

Once the location was aware of the situation, the manager told First Coast News that an "active investigation into the incident" was underway.

James and Rebecca Williams, the owners of the restaurant where the original video was filmed, released the following statement:

"Our investigation confirmed the dough used in the video was immediately discarded after the incident, however we do not condone this behavior from our employees and appropriate action has been taken to prevent this from ever happening again.

"We have been serving the community at this site for more than four years and will continue to provide only the highest quality and freshest product to our customers."

A representative for Jimmy John's corporate told FOX News "situation has been appropriately handled," but did not say if the employee seen in the video has been fired.
