Man sports 'beard of bees' to prove a point

A 31-year-old Egyptian engineer turned beekeeper is now sporting a "beard of bees" to prove that they are not a flying threat.

Mohamed Hagras aims to prove that these insects are "not aggressive" and have many purposes, from medicine to agriculture.

Hagras built the beard by extracting hormones from queen bees after they die. He then put the hormones in a box that straps to his chin, attracting dozens of bees from that hive to flock to his face.

This is a technique Hagras said he uses to form new hives too.

Hagras shows off his beard at contests and exhibitions with other folks who are also looking to bees to help them set world records.
