What to do if you find human remains
We hear all too often about reports of human remains found in unlikely locations.
Law enforcement officers are trained to handle this kind of delicate situation, but sometimes civilians stumble upon the gruesome finds.
The Dayton Beach News-Journal spoke to local officers about the potential situation, since it happened three times in just five days in the two counties nearby.
Flagler County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jim Troiano told them what to do if people happen to find human remains:
