Get ready for one astronomical show!

All you have to do is take one look at the sky on November 14th, and you'll understand what all the fuss is about.

You'll be treated to the biggest supermoon in almost 70 years!

Scientists say this month's supermoon will be the biggest so far of the 21st century, and we won't see another behemoth like this until November 25th, 2034.

What is a supermoon?

See more on interesting astronomical events:

A full moon that occurs when the moon is at its closest point of approach in its orbit around Earth.

Astronomers call that point perigee.

When it's that close, supermoons can appear to be 14% bigger and 30% brighter than other full moons, according to NASA.

Weather permitting, you should be able to see it no matter where you are in the world.

Astronomers and common sense tells us they're best viewed at night, away from the bright lights of a big city.

Supermoons aren't all that rare.

November's stellar event is one of three to occur in the last three months rounding out 2016.

There was one October 16th, and there will be another on December 14th, but this one is special because it will appear so big and bright.
