CHICAGO (WGN) -- Bond is denied for a Chicago man accused of posing as a meter reader to murder his romantic rival.

Prosecutors say Willie Bell, 44, dressed as a meter reader in order to enter the victim's home in the city's Morgan Park neighborhood.

Surveillance video shows Bell outside Timothy Lawrence's house last September.

Prosecutors say he was jealous after his girlfriend left him for Lawrence.

That's when they say he went to Lawrence's home, shot him in the head, then left in the victim's car.

They say he returned in the car the next day, and set the house on fire in an effort to conceal his crime.

Bell is charged with first-degree murder and concealment of a homicide.
