Melania Trump is taking to Twitter to set the record straight on her immigration status.

She says she came to the U.S. "100%" legally.

A Politico report in August questioned her immigration status, specifically looking a period in her career when she appeared to be working in the U.S. on a tourist Visa.

She published a letter from her attorney Wednesday stating that the allegations saying she worked illegally in a photoshoot in the United States in 1995 are false since her first entry to the U.S. was in 1996.

The lawyer says he can 'unequivocally state' that allegations against her immigration record are 'completely without merit' - adding that she did not receive her green card through marriage but instead she wponsored herself for a green card.

Melania just sued a blogger and a British tabloid over what her lawyer says are "false and tremendously damaging" stories alleging she was a sex worker in the 1990s.
