Air China apologizes for 'racist' in-flight magazine article

Air China has apologized for an article in its in-flight magazine that some are calling racist. The article warned travelers going to London that "precautions are needed when entering areas mainly populated by Indians. Pakistanis and black people."

Haze Fan, a Beijing-based producer for CNBC and a traveler on the airline, brought the spotlight to this with this tweet.

Air China North America tweeted an apology, which it later deleted without explanation, saying the text had "offensive language." It later pinned the blame on Air China Media, the company that publishes the magazine.

Air China has since pulled the magazines from its planes.
