Police boost patrols after more creepy clown sightings

After a creepy clown was spotted in South Carolina trying to lure kids into the woods, the sightings have increased.

North Carolina police received a similar report Sunday.

Winston-Salem officers were called to a neighborhood after two kids said a clown tried to get them to follow him into the woods using treats, according to a police report.

An adult heard but did not see the interaction.

The clown reportedly had white overalls, white gloves, red shoes, bushy red hair and a white face and red nose.

Police did not find anyone in their investigation, according to the report.

Later that night, police received yet another call saying a man dressed as a clown was spotted in a neighborhood two miles away.

Winston-Salem police said in a statement they would increase patrols in the area as a precaution.
