Get the news you want with AOL.com's Facebook Messenger Bot

Earlier this year, Facebook made a big announcement about updates to one of their most used tools -- Messenger. The social media network opened their platform up to publishers and brands to use for giving customers information and sending news through another medium.

AOL.com has opened up its messaging platform so that you can more easily get the news you want, on demand.

You can activate the bot on our Facebook page, or click here. You can also follow the steps below to see how to interact with the bot.

Step 1. Open up your Facebook Messenger app and search AOL, or visit AOL.com's Facebook page and click message (or click the links above!)

Step 2. The AOL messenger bot will prompt you to interact

Step 3. Select yes. The Bot will then send you some of the top AOL.com stories from the day

Step 4. Click 'read story' to read the full story on AOL.com

Step 5. Come back and visit AOL.com's Facebook messenger whenever you want to read your top stories in news, entertainment, sports, lifestyle or finance! Just type in top [channel name] to see the content from that channel.
