Melania Trump puts her best foot forward in Christian Louboutin as she unveils 'Be Best' initiative

Updated

Melania Trump put her best foot forward in a pair of white Christian Louboutin stilettos on Monday as she launched her "Be Best" initiative aimed at raising awareness about issues American children face.

The first lady took the podium outside in the Rose Garden, just a few steps away from the Oval Office. She emerged from the White House looking radiant in a form-fitting white pencil skirt that she paired with a camel-hued leather jacket with a belt that cinched at the waist.

The 48-year-old first lady styled her brunette tresses in a tousled blowout style while keeping her makeup to a minimum. Melania was all smiles as she made her speech about her new initiative before inviting President Trump to the stage to help declare Monday as "National 'Be Best' Day."

"I do believe that children should be both seen and heard," Melania said in her speech. "And it is our responsibility as adults to educate and remind them that when they are using their voices -- either verbally or online -- they must choose their words wisely and speak with respect and compassion."

While her appearances have been rare in the past couple of weeks, Melania hasn't failed to dazzle us with her sartorial choices. We still can't stop raving about her glittering Chanel look at her first state dinner as FLOTUS. For more on Melania's style, watch the video above.
