Salma Hayek calls this her secret trick to avoiding botox

She's one of the most beautiful women on the planet, but at 50 years old, Salma Hayek doesn't credit her line-less skin to a mix of concoctions and treatments. Instead, she says the secret to looking young is bone broth—and she swears by it.

In an interview with People.com, the creator of Nuance Skincare says that bone broth is, "Full of gelatin and fat and has bone marrow and I think it is very good to keep yourself young," adding that it's helped her to avoid Botox.

Hayek isn't the only advocate of bone broth. In fact, Shailene Woodley, Mindy Kaling and Gwyneth Paltrow all sing its praises, too. Made by simmering the bones of beef, chicken and/or fish for about a day or so, bone broth first caught on as a beauty trend a few years ago.

It's said that drinking the broth can help promote collagen synthesis, which leads to firmer, tighter skin. And, it's loaded with nutrients and minerals that make the skin look that much better, too.

While we can't deny the wrinkle reducing effects of Botox Cosmetic and other neuromodulators we have to say kudos to Hayek for taking a more natural route.
