Meghan Markle opens up to Allure: My 'pet peeve' is when my freckles are 'airbrushed'

Allure's "The Beauty of Diversity" hits newsstands Tuesday -- and inside, "Suits" actress (and Prince Harry's girlfriend) Meghan Markle gets really real about her skin tone -- and her freckles. Referring to herself, her mother and grandmother, she recalls, "There were the three of us, a family tree in an ombré of mocha next to the caramel complexion of my mom and light-skinned, freckled me."

The actress -- who was featured in the issue alongside fellow famous faces, like Padma Lakshmi, Eva Longoria and Jessica Alba -- goes on to open up about being a biracial actress in Hollywood and having casting directors label her "ethnically ambiguous." "To this day, my pet peeve is when my skin tone is changed and my freckles are airbrushed out of a photo shoot," she continues.

Speaking of her time in Hollywood, rumors recently swirled that the 35 year old not only wants to relinquish her role as Rachel Zane on "Suits" in the near future, but also that she wants to be done with "acting in general." One source reportedly told E! News, "She wants to focus on other worldly endeavors she is passionate about, like her philanthropy."
