Duchess Kate wears red for Valentine's Day visit to RAF Air Cadets

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, might be without her husband on Valentine's Day, but she's not totally ignoring the holiday! The busy duo are stepping up their royal duties this year, and are spending the day apart as Kate makes her third visit to the RAF Air Cadets. Good thing they just had the ultimate glamorous date night at the 2017 BAFTAs!

The Duchess dressed down for her casual visit to a Royal Air Force base in Wittering, wearing a deep red Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini blazer (a mere $1,515), black skinny jeans and black Stuart Weitzman boots ($655). It was a sensible look for the day's events, and the military-style blazer was perfectly patriotic. Plus, while that red can certainly be interpreted as a nod to Britain, we're hoping she chose it for Valentine's Day!

Kate, who is royal patron and Honorary Air Commandant after Prince Philip handed over the reigns in 2015, took part in a few activities with the RAF Air Cadets. She was a good sport (and smartly left her heels at home) as she participated in jumping games as part of a team building exercise, hopped into a training aircraft and tried her hand at a flight simulator.
