Bella Hadid admits she was rejected from last year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
It's impossible to deny that Bella Hadid has more than carved out a place for herself in the supermodel strata: She has all the girl-next-door qualities that made big sister Gigi a Model of the Year winner, but with a darker, more mysterious side that's landed her on Chanel, Versace, and Fendi runways. So it's hard to believe that only a year ago, Bella was rejected from the very runway she totally owned at the 2016 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, that being the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

That's right, the 20-year-old revealed in her Paper magazine cover story that she went out for the show last year but didn't make the cut. "I tried last year [to be cast in] the show [but] I think everything happens for a reason," she tells the mag. Fast-forward to the buzzy VS Fashion Show broadcast this past Monday when she joined Gigi and BFF Kendall Jenner (not to mention ex-beau The Weeknd) on the glittery Paris runway in feather wings. If we've learned anything from Bella Hadid's experience, it's that no matter how far we've gone, we always have to keep working to achieve our goals.
