Everything you missed from the Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting

Last night marked the 83rd anniversary of the Rockefeller tree lighting in New York City, and thousands turned out to see the spectacular show.

However, there were many who were not at Rockefeller Center to witness the beautiful sight. Luckily, AOL.com was on-site to give you an up-close and personal look at the holiday tradition!

Mayor Bill de Blasio, along with actors Alec Baldwin and Kate McKinnon, helped illuminate the tree. This year's spruce is an estimated 90-95 years old, according to NBC.
