The superfood trend continues to take over the nation and people can't get enough of fruits, veggies and seeds that are high in nutrients.

According to Search Lab, a global search marketing firm, each city in the U.S. has a preference for its favorite superfood. The company crafted a list of the top ten U.S. cities along with the most google searched superfood in each city.

New Yorkers really like bulgur, a grain that is rich in fiber that helps lower bad cholesterol levels.

Both Los Angeles and Portland are really into turmeric, a plant from the ginger family that is known for its anti-inflammatory qualities.

It's no surprise that avocado continues to be loved by everyone, as it held the title for most searches in a month.

Seattle and New York both averaged the highest searches for kale.

The city with the biggest appetite for superfoods turned out to be Portland, which averaged the top searches for superfoods in the country.
