Viral video shows cruel father nearly ruining daughter's wedding with prank

The father of the bride at a wedding in the UK pulled a fast one, but thankfully everyone seemed to be able to laugh it off.

A speech from the father of the bride is a time-honored wedding tradition, but this particular father decided to jazz it up a bit. He begins by saying he wants to thank a few people, such as the bakers who made the beautiful three-tiered wedding cake.

The bride can be heard on the video asking her father not to pick up the cake, which he does anyway. He lifts it up for all the guests to see and then promptly proceeds to place it back on the table, dropping it to the floor in the process.

The wedding party is shocked up until he lets them in on the prank and points to the real cake that is sitting at the back of the room. Everyone takes it in stride, including the bride who can be seen holding her hand to her heart and breathing a sigh of relief.

With a prankster like this for a dad, I'd be nervous about the father-daughter dance.
