OnlyOnAOL: We spy Keri Russell looking dazzling, as always

Keri Russell, the star of the critically-beloved FX series "The Americans," was ecstatic to finally be at the Emmys, with her costar and partner Matthew Rhys. For years, fans of the show had lamented the lack of love it got from Emmy voters. That changed this year.

"She's very cool and calm. But she gets excited. It's an exciting thing. She was so excited for this moment. Her and Matthew are so into being acknowledged. She wasn't stressing about winning. She got this nod. She's got three kids. She balances her life. I respect her a lot for all that she has accomplished," says Russell's longtime makeup artist Tina Turnbow.

Russell keeps things simple and uncomplicated, on and off the red carpet. "Our aesthetic is so similar. She's so honest and upfront with me. She treats me with such respect and consideration. We bring out the best in each other," says Turnbow.

The actress, who plays ice-cold spy Elizabeth Jennings, donned a Stephane Rolland gown. The prep was easy and relaxed. "Her new baby was there. Matthew is so wonderful with the baby. Watching him with the baby was incredible. We were all there, hanging out looking at the great view," says Turnbow.

Which means the two "wanted to keep the look fresh. The dress as a little architectural so we wanted to keep it soft. We gave her a specific eyebrow that felt structured. We gave her a little bit of a stain on her lip. Her style is slightly undone usually. It was just the right amount to enhance what was going on."

CHANEL products made Russell glow in all the right places. Here is how Turnbow did it.

To hydrate Keri's skin, she applied CHANEL Hydra Beauty Crème, CHANEL Hydra Beauty Flash Instantly Hydrating Perfecting Balm and CHANEL Hydra Beauty Micro Gel Yeux Intense Smoothing Eye Gel.

To make her eyes pop, Turnbow defined them with CHANEL Crayon Sourcils Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Naturel, then brushed them with brow gel. She applied CHANEL Illusion D'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Convoitise on the inner corners. No liner, but lots of CHANEL Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir on the top and bottom lashes for a little cat effect.

For that gorgeous pout, Turnbow used CHANEL Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Vivant, which felt really fresh with the crisp white of her dress.
