Perusing Alice + Olivia's Spring 2017 collection was like jumping into a storybook

Updated

As New York Fashion week comes to a close, we can't help but keep daydreaming about the Alice + Olivia Spring 2017 presentation in NYC Tuesday.

When we walked in, we were greeted with an enormous storybook -- and as we ventured inside, the fairytale didn't end.

I mean, this is a dress fit for a princess if we've ever seen one:

Oversized sunglasses, '70s-inspired patchwork and dreamy dresses were presented on a garden-like backdrop complete with grass, flowers and statues.

The fictional vibe was enforced with crystal balls, a clock tower, life-sized bird cages and a bed dropped in the middle of one of the garden scenes.

When we didn't turn around and see an ethereal gown, we instead saw an edgy leather or denim jacket or intricately detailed blazers. And if you ever needed a break from the multitude of colors, Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet handed you black, white and nude numbers.

If you have style FOMO (fear of missing out, of course), fear not. The brand jumped on the see-now-buy-now bandwagon with a capsule collection available for preorder immediately.

Take a peek at a few models showing off the custom capsule collection:

You can have some fun personalizing some of the items, like these sleek skinny jeans.

Wake us up, because we think we're dreaming.
