The best ways to wear white after labor day

Before you go, we thought you'd like these...

September is officially here which means the best parts of summer are slowly fading away. Beach trips, laying out in the sun and BBQs are all soon to be things of the past. Another thing we have to sadly say goodbye to are summer fashion trends. 'Don't wear white after labor day,' has been a constant rule when it comes to transitioning to fall closets.

However, quite frankly, we have had enough. The rule is absurd and the Lifestyle Collective bloggers could not agree more. The fashion faux pas is a rule that is meant to be broken. Take a look through the slideshow to style your own white this fall season!

The best wats to wear white after labor day

"If you’ve been following me for some time now, you know that I have a slight obsession with white jeans. I love how they so easily freshen up any look just by swapping them out for your regular denim." - Advice From a Twenty Something

"I’m all about a lightweight cropped ankle pant, palazzo pant, flared linen pant and so on. Yes, it’s getting hotter but with these pant options, you can still be stylish while staying somewhat cool-ish. These types of pants double as office attire and casual/weekend wear." - Savvynista
"Keeping it light and airy, I wore the skirt with my new striped puff sleeve tee, which fits true to size (I’m wearing an XS). Such a comfortable white skirt outfit and I definitely felt chic and could easily walk everywhere with these shoes!" - Just a tina bit
"How pretty is the color of this ruffle tank? I love it paired with some white distressed skinny jeans and my fave leopard crossbody! This ruffle tank is not only a great transition item, but it also is lightweight and can be layered on top.  I think I’m going to layer a camel blazer over it next time!" - A Southern Drawl
"I feel like “white after labor day” has been acceptable for quite a long time now (interesting article here about where the “rule” originated). Still, rarely, I get some who comments on my clothing color choice like I’ve committed the worst fashion faux pas! Enough with that already!" - The Middle Closet
