This is why kids are now obsessed with flipping chairs

Ever since a video of a young man successfully flipping a water bottle over on a table took the internet by storm in May, people have been trying to figure out what the next simple viral sensation will be.

It seems that the water bottle flip has taken a seat in old meme history, because the chair flip challenge is here.

Two teenagers from New Zealand, Corban Baker and Cosmo Everett-Wells, are featured in a Facebook video flipping chairs in different locations around their high school.

"We just got bored at lunch and flipped a chair and it landed, so, yeah, that's what gave us the idea," Baker told BuzzFeed News.

Baker said he had previously tried out the bottle flip challenge, but his creation "is definitely harder."

Apparently, the weight at the bottom of the water bottle makes it easy to flip and land, but Baker said there's no "special way" to flip chairs.

It seems like the boys are going to dab their way to viral chair-flipping stardom.
