Payless is set to close all its remaining US stores

The discount shoe store Payless announced on Friday that it will be closing all 2,100 of its remaining stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

According to CNN, liquidation sales will begin on Sunday, and the company's expected to start winding down its online commercial presence.

Payless first filed for bankruptcy in April 2017 and did some major restructuring. But the chain is expected to file for a second time this month.

The company will start closing brick-and-mortar stores in March, but most locations will reportedly stay open until May.
