While October does have its Columbus Day sales, most people are saving up for Black Friday discounts in November. But, that doesn't mean there aren't any special deals this month - here are a few to look out for!

October is one of the best months to buy a car, since dealerships are looking to clear their inventory to make room for next year's models. If you negotiate well, you can save hundreds, even thousands off the sticker price. Just don't wait too long to buy, since you run the risk of slimmer pickings during November and December.

Next, there's patio furniture. It may feel out of season in the fall, which is partly why you will find great deals during this time! And, like cars, retailers are trying to clear their inventory, so look for discounts at up to 70% off!

Lastly, look for great sales on denim this month. In the past, denim brands have had sales ranging from 40-60% off, which, come to think of it, may be why we've been seeing so much denim-on-denim this year.
