Bimbo Bakeries, manufacturer of Entenmann's products, has issued a voluntary recall of several varieties of Little Bites snacks.

The company announced that some Little Bites Fudge Brownie (5 pack), Chocolate Chip (5 and 10 pack), and Variety (20 pack) packages have been contaminated with plastic. According to the FDA, this is due to a malfunction at a contract bakery manufacturer in Illinois.

Bimbo Bakeries is recalling by "Best By" dates September 24, 2016 and October 8, 2016. The code number "3098" is also printed on the contaminated boxes. Apparently, these packages were rolled out to stores in the past two weeks.

The company had been receiving complaints of a choking hazard, but a spokesman has not been able to provide additional details.
