The family, who is traveling in a massive group of 17 people, finished off their week-long trip to France that included sightseeing, wine tastings, hiking and eating at gourmet restaurants in Provence with afternoon aperitifs of Tattinger champagne and Ruinart rosé with U2 band members Bono and The Edge at the Chevre d’Or in Ezé, People reports, where Bono has an estate.

Later that day, the Obamas went to Monaco, where they met up Prince Albert II for dinner at The Grill.

"There was incredible security involved but they had dinner together at The Grill Friday evening," an insider told People of the picturesque meal, which was at the open-air restaurant on the top floor of Monte Carlo’s Hotel de Paris.

As the outlet notes, the former President of the United States and the reigning monarch of Monaco have been connected for nearly a decade due to their aligned environmental efforts.

Following their idyllic meal in Monaco, the Obamas jetted off to Milan, Italy, in order to spend the weekend in Lake Como, at the home of longtime pals George and Amal Clooney.

Paparazzi photos from the weekend getaway show George and Barack getting off a boat and walking on a private dock before attending a fundraiser event for The Clooney Foundation for Justice.

The Daily Mail also obtained photos, which show Amal Clooney's bright orange gown, Michelle Obama's chic black-and-white ensemble and 20-year-old Malia's black maxi dress. Both Barack and George were in casual suits.

The Obamas' trip, which they declined to publicly confirm details around, came just a few days after Sasha, 18, graduated from high school alongside Joe Biden's granddaughter. She's rumored to be attending the University of Michigan in the fall, while Malia is a rising junior at Harvard.
