Lady Gaga splits from fiancé Christian Carino: Details

Lady Gaga and Christian Carino have called off their engagement.

The singer's rep confirmed to People that the couple has gone their separate ways. The confirmation comes after fans noticed that Gaga wasn't wearing her engagement ring at the Grammy Awards earlier this month. The singer also didn't thank him in her acceptance speech for Best Pop Duo or Group Performance, which she won for "Shallow" from "A Star Is Born" with co-star Bradley Cooper.

Carino and Gaga attended the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Golden Globe Awards together in January, and the singer tearfully thanked him during her acceptance speech at Elle's 25th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration in October 2018.

It's also notable that the Grammy winner did not post about her fiancé on Valentine's Day last week. Instead of paying tribute to her significant other, as many other celebrities did that day, the star instead showed off two new tattoos she got inked, including a massive rose that covered the entirety of her spinal cord.

"Happy Valentine’s Day. A tattoo toast to “la vie en rose” by the beautiful @winterstone my spinal cord is now a rose," she captioned a photo of her new ink.

The couple's relationship was confirmed in February 2017. Gaga had previously been engaged to "Chicago Fire" actor Taylor Kinney, while Carino had been linked to actress Lauren Cohan from "The Walking Dead."

Lady Gaga is expected to appear at the 2019 Academy Awards on Sunday, where she's nominated for Best Actress and Best Original Song. She's slated to perform "Shallow" with Bradley Cooper.
