'The Boss' talks politics: Bruce Springsteen predicts a Trump win in 2020

One of the biggest rock stars of all time is making a political prediction.

Bruce Springsteen says he thinks President Trump will be re-elected in 2020. The Boss told The Sunday Times Magazine, “I don’t see anyone out there at the moment...the man who can beat Trump, or the woman who can beat Trump.”

Springsteen, a long-time Democrat, thinks his party’s failing is connecting to blue collar voters. With the rockstar famously writing songs about American economic anxiety over the years, he and Trump ironically share a fanbase.

The rockstar, who recently told Esquire that Trump’s divisive political rhetoric and actions were “a crime against humanity," took little solace in the Democrat’s midterm success.

“It was nice to get the House back, but I’d like to have seen a much more full-throated (rejection) of the past two years," he said.

When asked if he would consider a run, Springsteen balked, saying, "at the end of the day, you’re just a musician with a loud mouth.” The Boss will go “back to my day job” as his 2019 plans include a solo record and touring with the E Street Band.
