Ariana Grande debuts shorter hair after Pete Davidson breakup: 'So cute!'

Ariana Grande took to Instagram on Thursday to debut a much shorter hairdo, weeks after splitting from boyfriend Pete Davidson. In the photo, Grande has shoulder-length hair -- way shorter than we're used to from her.

She has famously rocked a waist-length high ponytail for essentially every public appearance over the past five years, since her music career began to take off. This year, though, as she embarked on her "sweetener" era, she's begun to experiment with different styles: half-up half-down, a low ponytail, white-blonde hair and more.

But this new cropped look is the biggest deviation Grande has had from her signature look in years -- and the fans are loving it!

"This is so cute," multiple comments on her Instagram post read. "Wow your real hair is beautiful," another wrote. A slew of other fans flooded her comments with heart-eyes emojis, hearts and more positive messages.

The image overhaul comes weeks after Grande and Davidson called it quits. The singer followed up their split with a breakup anthem, "thank u, next," which broke countless streaming records and became Grande's first-ever No. 1 hit as a result.
